The birth process is characterized by some as a “Heroic Journey” that requires support, preparation and great effort both before and after. This group will provide mentorship and peer support for birthing parents in the immediate postpartum period up to 6 months post-birth.
NOW ACCEPTING NEW PARTICIPANTS!
Participants will have the opportunity to debrief from their birth and share about experiences with their newborn in a comforting and emotionally supportive environment. Learn from both peers and a knowledgeable facilitator. Hot topics such as feeding, sleep, self-care, collaborating with a non-birthing parent or other caregiver as well as the importance of seeking supports will be covered as a part of this group. Meets once per week on Thursdays from 10-11:15am. Tea, coffee and light snacks provided. No meeting on November 23nd or December 28th. Sliding scale available. Your baby is welcome to attend with you. Group size is limited to 6 participants.
