Maria Zabin
Child and Family Therapist

Maria Zabin is an Associate Social Worker (ASW #124863) with a deep passion for working with individuals from diverse backgrounds. She is dedicated to helping children and parents strengthen their relationships, with a particular focus on those who have experienced early traumatic events such as foster care, adoption, and loss.

Originally from Guatemala, Maria is Latina and bilingual in English and Spanish. Her professional journey began with young neurodivergent children, and she later provided crisis support services to middle and high school students in Alameda. She has a strong interest in supporting people through pregnancy and the postpartum period, aiming to help them heal from trauma, foster attachment with their baby, and navigate the unique challenges of the perinatal period.

Maria is committed to the Diversity Informed Tenets for Work with Infants, Children, and Families, and she works to consciously bring these principles into her work with families. She is currently working under the supervision of Amanda Campbell, LMFT (LMFT #50600).
